Yes, some of these die-hard fans are red-necks, which isn't surprising. They're patriotic to the MAX, and no one can blame them, even though they might be driving their beloved cars or trucks that are not really made in USA. But to them, driving anything that has the big-3 brands on them is American enough. Any Jap or European imports brands, however, will not be considered American in their eyes, no matter that some of these "imports" are actually built in their homeland, by American people.
Some of these people that are anti-Toyota-in NASCAR are seemingly closeminded, or are reluctant to accept because of the war, or are plainly scared of Toyota winning and dominating the series. IMO, if these people want Toyota to leave NASCAR, then fine, as long as they pull their American racing efforts out of international racing series, such as F1 or the Corvettes in Le Mans........So yeah, such a strategy sounds immensely rediculous, but then again I'm being sarcastic about these people that wanna see Toyota disappear from NASCAR, which ain't gonna happen. Besides, you dunno how shitty you
are until new competition comes in to take your place, which will then only make you work harder to improve and beat them back. It's kinda sad that the big-3 doesn't have such a mentality or desire to accept challenges from others and to improve upon themselves. They see these "competitions" as a threat and just wanted them out, rather than welcoming them and develop healthy competition and respect amongst each other. Maybe it isn't fair for me to criticize about such things about the big-3, since it isn't 100% true and they ARE improving, BUT, some of their closeminded fans spoke their minds for their beloved companies, and even the companies themselves are sometimes insinuating such mentality (to imply without having to say it in words). To me, that's taking a step BACK, NOT FORWARD.
Some of them need to grow up and realize the world isn't as perfect like it used to be, or like the way they wanted it to be.
