model changes

with all the new model changes in 06 & 07, does anyone know when the 4runner will get another make over? tundra got redone that means the sequoia will too, the rav4 got beefed up, theres a new camery. all the lexi are new, gs, is, es, ls...so when is the 4runner getting a model change? how long has it been now? i think the '06 is the best of the bunch but i'd still like to see a new one. any ideas?

Well the compeletly new redesigned 4Runner came out for the 03' model year and for this year got a refreshed look and more powerful V8, my educated guess will be either 08' or or 09'? I'm not totally sure the life cycle of the 4Runner, it may be five years which is industry "standard" or adverage for cars but for SUV's/truck I guess it depends. It may not be till 09'. But that's my guess, maybe someone else will know for sure...hope that helps!

SHould be 08. Toyota used to go pretty long on trucks and SUV's just like everyone else did but they are pretty much on a 5 year cycle now. Like ^^^ said they did a mid cycle refresh for the new ones now. Just updated the headlights and tailights type thing same as most of the other models that get mid cycle refreshes.

Yes... like the guys said above...

2nd Generation - 1990 - 1995 (6 years)
3rd Generation - 1996 - 2002 (7 years)
4th Generation - 2003 - 2008-9 (6-7 years) .... I think.

If it is going to run 7 years like the last Runner... It could be 2010 before the next one is seen..... May be...

i work for a toyota dealer in pa, and the best we can all tell is that signs are pointing to 09. toyota has been extending the cycle for do-overs, and the sequoia is getting redone for 09 as well as the land cruiser (no official word, but we expect it).

Theres talk of the 4runner being redone as a 2009 model. Land cruiser just got redone as an 08 model. Sequoia is set to launch possibly late this year as an 08 model.
