Highlander SPort edition

NOt much but body enhancements. I think they need to go the route of the Saturn Redline or something liket aht if they are going to try it.

You get some chrome door handles and bigger wheels and different grill.

the highlander sport really is a joke in my opinon. we own a 05 highlander and honestly, i wouldnt like to have those items described on and in our highlander. They didnt even mention if they included the rear spoiler or not...

Toyota will have to actually do some performance upgrades to make it a sport, just like the new 07 camry SE. At least add thicker sways or something....

By the way, is the Camry SE the sports car for toyota currently? Seeing as there isnt really a supra/celica on the market...

Sports car for Toyota would be....uh....Camry Solara? Maybe Corolla XRS?

Wait a minute....Toyota doesn't have a sports car!

IT is theose special edition type stuff they do when sales start lagging and the design is getting old. IT should be time for a new one in the next year or so anyway. Unless they decide to drop it and jsut stick withteh RAV since it has gotten so much larger.

As for a sports car for Toyota I guess right now you would have to go with either the Corolla XRS or the Matrix XRS you could always say the X-Runner is. IT is probaly more sports car than anything they have in their stable right now.

but fact of the matter is...all those cars are slower and probably dont handle as well as the 07 camry SE...
Granted they are all smaller in size, minus the taco X-runner, but toyota really needs to come back out with a sports car! Or at least update the Solara to be even better than the 07 camry SE.

It's probably to boost sales for the current Highlander's aging design which is due to be replaced soon.

So do you think there will be a redesign for 2007? When would that come out anyway?

Any news on a redesign for the Highlander. I may be in the market for a vehicle in the next year and would be interested in the Highlander, ES350, and Camry, but don't much care for the current Highlander.

No. Just an upgraded 4 cylinder engine (probably same as the new Camry) and standard side/side curtain airbags.
