Toyota Announces Prices for All-New 2007 Camry Hybrid
TORRANCE, CA - March 27, 2006: Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., announced manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) today for the all-new and much-anticipated 2007 Camry Hybrid. The all-new Camry Hybrid will have a base MSRP of $25,900. The new Camry Hybrid will reach Toyota dealers this May.
The Toyota Camry, the best-selling car in America four years running and for eight of the past nine years, is completely new for 2007. The world-class sedan not only redefines global standards for comfort, performance and design, but also is available, for the first time, with Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive.
Toyota extends its hybrid leadership by making its exclusive Hybrid Synergy Drive available in the 2007 Camry. The Hybrid Synergy Drive System consists of gas and electric power sources that are complementary and produce a combined 187 horsepower. This system varies power between gas and electric, or both, as needed.
I'm glad that not only Toyota went the four banger but also didn't overprice the Hybrid like Honda did. By the way the article says combined 187bhp, I thought it was 197bhp? Anyway sounds great!!

So hybrid just ~$1,000 more than XLE 4? Good price. But XLE 4 will sell at close invoice, hyrid will stay at MSRP if not more for longtime... Toyota won't be able produce enough Hybrids to keep up with demands.
It will be $4,200 cheaper and have a power passenger seat, bigger trunk, fog lights, tachometer, alarm, retractable rear sunshade, Illum visor mirrors, reclining back seats, better handling that a comparable equipped Hybrid won't.
I will be giving up Smart key, better mileage, more HP, LED taillights and blue tinted headlights that the Hybrid has..
Couldn't justify that much diff. for the fuel savings and I can't use the possible tax deduction
I just got details on Northern California Camry Hybrid prices for dealer INVOICE
Car: $23,310 + delivery
Other options are generally as seen on open price websites, e.g. sunroof MSRP is $940 and invoice is $752.
Apparently there is still some confusion on the combination of leather seats and heated seats, so that the heated seats are in a package that adds something like $470 to the leather seat base, and I think those are MSRP numbers for the "convenience package" but I am not sure.

If I got the XLE, and wanted LED taillights, I would make the awitch! Its not that hard.

My internet/fleet sales manager updated me on his costs, so I can anticipate my "bottom line" price when my ordered 2007 Camry Hybrid arrives ....in the first shipment or so that he will likely receive.
Though that date is not yet clear, but appears to be middle or LATE May here.
