2007 Toyota Solara Pricing

Solara SE I4 - $19,930 (Manual) or $20,760 (Automatic)
Solara SE V6 - $22,260

Solara Sport I4 - $22,200
Solara Sport V6 - $24,530

Solara SLE I4 - $23,905
Solara SLE V6 - $26,905

Solara Convertible SE - $27,190

Solara Convertible Sport - $29,460

Solara Convertible SLE - $30,460

For 2007 model year, the Camry Solara receives one of Toyota's most extensive mid-year changes to date and raising the bar in the sporty coupe
segment. The 2007 Solara offers several exterior and interior styling changes, additional standard safety equipment, and enhanced audio and
convenience features.

Solara's exterior enhancements include newly designed halogen headlamps, grille, front bumper, and integrated fog lamps. From behind,
Solara will feature restyled LED tail lamps, bumper and rear spoiler. The Sport grade adds unique HID headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear under bumper spoilers, side rocker molding, rear spoiler and tailpipe
diffuser.

Inside, Solara adds newly designed optitron instrumentation with unique sport meters in Sport models, interior trim color and fabric, six-disc CD changer audio system with MP3 playing capability and an audio auxiliary
jack for connectivity to most portable music players, as standard equipment. SLE models get standard hands-free calling capability via
Bluetooth(TM) technology and all 2007 Solara's get seat mounted side airbags and curtain side airbags (curtain side airbags not on convertible)
along with a Direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System as standard equipment.

The standard powertrain for the 2007 Solara is a 155 horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with VVT-i. A powerful 3.3-liter V6
delivering 210 horsepower is also available.

*Big Mistake without putting in the 3.5L V6. Makes no sense at all. It would make the Solara competitive with a high-output engine.

I agree.. how can they not put the 3.5L V6 in there?

I think Toyota should consider getting a Solara hybrid in there. one with the 4 cylinder and one with the V6.

At least they should bump up the power on the 3MZ or at the very least put a dual exhaust on the car.

That's because the '06 is still up there.

Cannot wait for your pics. I wish the new 3.5 V6 would be upgraded to the Solara. It would mean more buyers because of more horsepower and many would think that the coupe would have a better engine than the sedan.

Basically, adding the 2GR now would've increased overall cost of the V6 model. The existing 3MZ wiring harnesses would have to be scrapped, and basically, more engineering work would have to be done to the already extensive refresh. The 2GR heads are bigger than the 3MZ's, but space is not an issue.

Longitudinally, the 2GR heads are 10in tall, while the 3MZ's are 7in. The increase can be attributed to the dual VVT-i.

The 2GR will fit in an MR2 Spyder ... (a swap is already in progress)

since the 3.5 is still new, maybe they can't produce enough to put in a 5th recipient... (avy, rav, cam, es)

Same engine as yours. If you were aware, Toyota has voluntarily updated their Horsepower Ratings to the revised SAE. It is the same engine, its only a number.
