NCTS: Johnny Benson wins at the Milwaukee Mile

Toyota's ending up taking 3 of the top 5 finishing positions and 6 out of the top ten finishers drove Toyotas.
One other thing worth noting is that the top 5 drivers in the point statings right now all drive for Toyota.
If Toyota wanted to make a statement before entering the Busch and Cup series, they certainly have done that thus far. Lets hope they can keep it up.

Hooray, I saw that race as well, very good one. Johnny Benson's the man at the moment, he had a very good truck and he literally "walked" away from the 2nd place and so forth (4 seconds lead ).

Hey Octane, I love threads like these where the "antis" (a term trademarked by RAV4EVR ) simply has nothing to say. If they (the big-3) are shitting their pants by now (in terms of next year's Busch series and Nextel Cup), well, they should certainly stock up big time on diapers

So true.
You know whats funny though? Lot of the so-called NASCAR "experts" dont want to give Toyota chance. There was an article on NASCAR.com about how Ryan Vickers is expected to either go to Red Bull Racing team (Toyota) or to Robert Yates Racing (UPS #88). They basically cut Toyota down and said that Vickers would be stupid to go to Red Bull because even though Toyota has all the money in the world, they have no real experience and most likely wont be competitive. They went on to say that Vickers should go to RYR because they are a proven team that can win.
Ok, those of you who follow NASCAR know that RYR hasnt been very competitive the past couple of season, who what the heck is this so-called "expert" talking about?
Also, anyone who has followed Toyota's racing program know that they have gone into a lot of different forms of racing where no one gave them a chance of winning and within a few years they not only won, but they became dominant. Examples of this are Nascar truck, Le Mans and Indy racing. Heck, even in F1 they are as good as any other team, they just need to find a driver who can put them up front.
I am going to laugh, when Toyota starts winning in NASCAR. I honestly dont expect them to win in '07, but I do think they will be solid performers. Look at how theyve done in the truck series. The first year they were so-so. They won a couple of races and each week they got a little bit better. The 2nd year they almost won both the driver and manufacturer's championship. This year, they have dominated.
Theres a lot of import haters on the snowmobile and dirtbike forums I go on, so I have this discussion a lot. Heres the main point: the Toyota Camry is the #1 selling car in America. NASCAR is the biggest form of auto racing in America. The Camry, as the best-selling car in America DESERVES to be represented in NASCAR, the biggest form of motorsport in America.
Personally, I think NASCAR is a joke. It professes to be "stock" car racing and those cars are so far from stock its not even funny. However, I will watch because Toyota is in it. I love to see Toyota beat Ford and GM at their own game (pushrod V8s).
Im looking foreward to it.

True, but it wasnt a 5.7L pushrod V8. Not that it matters, theres nothing "stock" about stockcar racing nowdays.
