Yup

I don't see a snowballs chance in hell of that happening. Would a V8 even fit in a camry?? It's too bad, if GM could get 28 mpg out of a 303 horse Impala, I'm sure Toyota could too. Ford is moving it's entire car line to FWD by 2009 except for Mustang. GM is bringing back RWD with their zeta platform in 2009 to include the Camaro, Impala, and monte carlo.
In terms of modeling vehicles after the production vehicles that's a load of BS and I'm a huge NASCAR fan. All nascar vehicles have to fit the same generic template. The only piece that varies is the front grill. It's somewhat molded after the production car and the rest is stickers and paint to make it kinda look like the production car. Long gone are the days of them actually being the production car, which is great for Toyota. It's not a 100% go, but by the 2008 season nascar wants to implement "the car of the future" which is basically all teams use the same generic car. How that's going to work with the individual mfgs., I don't know???
