Nice exterior. Almost as nice as the Toyota Camry SE.

We'll probably be seeing the likes of the GS450h.

so why'd you buy a 430 instead of a 350 which is just as fast but gets better mpg.......not to mention less $$

Well i think the GS430 will become the GS460 or something similar using the new V8 that will go in the upcoming LS. So they will make it more powerful, they wouldnt keep the 430 after putting the 3.5.

Anyway I hope they then change the IS250 to the IS300 and use that 3.0 V6 that was in the GS300 I think it would be a good compliment to the IS350.

They won't do it. compare the 3.5 to the 3.0. The 3.5 has more horsepower, torque, runs cleaner, and still gets better MPG. The 3.0 was a temporary fix for a few years while they were readying the 2.5 and 3.5L engines. The technology on the 3.0 is too outdated...

Yeah I agree... it should just be IS300 and IS350.
GS 350 and GS460.

Eh, they're based off of the same engine series, so the technology is exactly the same. Now if you're referring to Toyota's D-4S system, then yes, that's where the 2GR-FSE has an advantage over the 3GR-FSE. Otherwise, they are very similar in design.

The 2GR is really just a destroked 1GR with better flowing heads and a totally revamped fuel system. The differences between the 2GR-FE and 2GR-FSE are numerous, however.

EDIT: I just realized Toyota tuned the 2GR-FSE differently to match the GS' weight difference. The torque now comes in at 3600 rpm vs the IS' 4800 rpm, and total horsepower is down 200 rpm to 6200 rpm vs the IS' 6400 rpm. The GS460 will probably be available for MY2008 since the LS460 hasn't even been released yet. Just because the V8 is down on power compared to the V6 doesn't automatically make the V6 better. The 3UZ is still an excellent motor. Quiet, smooth, and still relatively powerful. Torquey too.
