Thanks for the pics. It seems like every GM fansite I go to has real world pictures of the Tundra. Worried much? Interior and exterior is ten times better than the chevy and gmc.

I don't know, I'm not that impressed by the Tundra's interior...the HVAC buttons look like Playskool knobs (why so huge? Kids aren't going to be driving these things), and I still don't understand the huge off-center divide down the center console. It needs a different steering wheel...the current one looks more at home in a Camry.

As for the exterior, it's all about one's taste...but I prefer hard lines on trucks...the Tundra is too rounded off and the hood is too short for the height of it. There's weird curves all over the body that don't follow any overall design flow. The chrome grille borders on cartoonish. It's like Toyota tried too hard to make a macho truck.

But that's just my opinion...

Isn't it funny how other trucks can be discussed like adults on other sites but at the slightest mention on here that you don't like the new tundra its "flame on?"

IT IS FUNNY that other sites put crap on Tundra (I just happened to have read the GMI site and I didn't see ONE adult comment there. ) and when you come here you see people putting crap on Tundra and if by chance somebody tries to defend the Tundra on this TOYOTA website... he is blamed for flaming and is threatened....

Below is a CHILDISH quote from the GMI website.. not any different than other comments there. I guess this is what it means to be an ADULT...

Quote:
I also have a picture of the GM grill guard for the tahoe in there.
When I was at the show, there was a pretty big crowd around all of the new sierras and silverados. I had to wait to get some shots with no one sitting in them. When I was at the Toyota tundra display, Only one other guy was there besides the representative.

People seemed really enthusiastic about the new GM trucks. At the tundra display there was only one guy and he didnt seem to excited.
Display wise, I would have to say that GM's were better because there were a lot more than 3 trucks sitting around. Toyotas seemed kind of plain.
Adult comments my ass...

Here is what I have to say "I think the Tundra has way better styling in and out as compared to the domestics regardless of how much it is going to sell because of LOYAL truck buyers in the USA... " .................... Now that is my OPINION............ Oh I am sorry. I am not ALLOWED to say something like that here... Was it a TABOO comment?? Does that make me bad?? ..... PUNISH ME... I should be licking and kissing the Chevys and Fords too, if not, that makes me very immature..

The dash is very nicely made if somebody is HONESTLY making the effort to become interested in the Tundra, otherwise it is ofcourse a trash anyway. No surprse there.
I think the Grill on the GM truck is too big and they have made it........... hmmmm.. what is the word I am looking for........... hmmm... Oh yes,.. "ugly". BUT my opinion........... RIGHT?? Correct.

I am thinking about joining the GMI website seriously now. Why should they NOT have the same material that we get EXPOSED to here... May be by January when I am free from my current projects and I have more time act immature at GMI.

I apologize for NOT saying YES to everything people have to say about Tundra. After all I am here because I have an interest in Toyota.

He was telling the truth, how many people did you see in the pictures of the tundra? How many did you see around the GM area? He was merely stating his opinion and what he saw. Thats childish? WTF?

What I meant by acting like an adult was that there was a rational conversation about the trucks. Go back and read some of the tundra posts on this site.... real mature stuff in there.

Do you really think there was one guy standing there all the time?
Do you know when that picture was taken?

Every person I have talked to on the street is very excited about the new Tundra. Are you telling me not one person is interested in the new Tundra as the PICTURES portray it?

Yes. I have read all the comments on the GM board.

You walk up to people on the street and ask them about the new tundra?

As the PICTURES portray it, there appeared to be more interest in the GM area.

Don't know, wasn't there.

No. I live in a cave and never meet people. Come on. Try to stay realistic instead of TWISTING things so the outcome is against me.

I know more people would be interested in the GM/Ford.. Many many loyal followers from the previous 3-4 generations........ .. PA had it.... GRAND PA had it.. and the GREAT GRAND PA had it.......

........ but to assume that the Tundra is not attracting any attention based on the pictures.. is purely 5th grade... AND I am not saying that you are the one who made this assumption.

On first (and current) impression, I find myself liking the GM trucks' styling more... but you can't deny the UR V8

The proof will be in the sales. Everything else is opinion and while fun to read, means nothing.

The black Tundra looks pretty sharp. Was the regular cab and double cab Tundra there? For me I can't tell the difference just the way the rear door is designed. I would love to see a comparison picture of the new Tundra and GM trucks, just to get an idea how big each one compared to size. Thanks for the link.

I would say out of all line of Toyota vehicles.. Tundra has the highest mountain of hate, resistance and loyalty to conquer. If QUALITY was the only thing Tundra had to deal with, there was nothing to worry about...

I won't be surprised if the private mechanics delibarately sabotage the Tundras, not that they won't do that to any vehicle.

Toyota sales cannot jump 500% in one month as Tundra is introduced so don't expect Tundra to start kicking ass immediately. It takes time.. Toyota is growing at a fast enough rate and personally I would not want to see it growing any faster. In the end the victory is in sight no matter what the antis have been saying for the last 50 years...
