Honda's commercials claim they are the most fuel efficient automaker.... if that's true, wouldn't the most fuel efficient automaker be the most eco-friendly? I wonder what their criteria was for that?

GM and Ford probably scoffed at the Camry and Accord success not so long ago..... look where that got them.

...just sayin....

All it says is that their estimate is based on 2005 EPA estimates??? The website wouldn't let me highlight it to copy it

Aura is a re-skinned G6. The Camry is an all around better car.

Honda can claim being the most fuel efficient because they dont have a single V8 powered consumer vehicle in the market. Also they dont have a big list of available vehicles to choose from compared to Toyota.

Toyota/Lexus V8s
4Runner
LandCruiser
Tundra X2 (4.7 and 5.7)
GS430
LS460
ISF
LX470
GX470

Honda/Acura V8s
None

I watched the episode yesterday. Like someone mentioned here a while back, Motorweek never gives a bad review to a car though they do occasionally criticize something on a specific car.
They don't buy the cars and they don't own them long-term; they merely do year-long tests like everyone else, which is not an accurate measure of a vehicle.

I think the point is, this is just a list of their favorites based on their opinion. There is no empirical data to back up their claims of which cars are best. Just like Motor Trend's Car/Truck of the Year award, or C&D's 10-Best list, etc.
