We've been anticipating the E92 coupe/E93 cabrio M3 since before the latest M5 was released. It gets four-fifths of the M5's V-10, a 4.0 liter that'll produce about 410 hp horses and propel the car to 62 mph in less than five seconds. With a full manual gearboxes now available in the M5, the same should be true for the M3, although BMW has hinted it would abandon it current sequential manual gearbox for DSG. The M3 coupe hits German showrooms in October and goes on sale soon afterward here in the states.
Also keep in mind, even though the RS4 has a good amount of horsepower, the IS350 still matches its real world acceleration performance with a 3.5L V6 and an automatic. Still, the RS4 is a great performer, and looker.
I am sure are confusing the S4 with the RS4. They both use the same engine block, but the RS4 is the successor that was strung out more and puts out 415 HP from 4.2 liter while the S4 produces 340 HP from the same 4.2 liter V8.
Having said that, the S4 could not even compete with the E46 M3 with 1 liter more displacement and 2 more cylinders and forced Audi to go back to the drawing board to develop the RS4. The RS4 actually runs faster around the race track than an E46 M3.
S4 runs 13.7 - 14.0, which might be equal or slower than the IS350. However, Audi RS4 are capable of running high-12s bone stock, which is about a full second quicker than the IS350, and half a second quicker than the E46 M3.

Right, I did mean S4, not RS4. The RS4 gets to 60 in 4.5s according to Motor Trend and 1/4 mile in 13.0s, while C&D achieved 4.6s and 13.2s in 1/4 mile. The best test of the IS350 gets 4.9s to 60mph and 13.5s in 1/4 mile at Road and Track. Still, not bad.
The IS-F will have some stiff competition, especially from the new M3.
Here are my photos of the IS-F. Around #15, the quality gets better. Can't wait to get this car. I have the IS350, and I think getting 100+ more HP, plus BBS & Brembo & nice seats for 10k more is the deal of the decade.
I'm eager to see what TRD will unveil for the 5.0 liter UR. They alraedy have a prototype roots blower kit for the tundra, dont see why not for this. Plus, if you really got the $$, could swap in the UR from the Tundra's bottomend and have urself a stroker. Would lower the redline, but sure if you fit in lighter rods and valvetrain mods, itd be worth it. Again, $$, but just something to talk about.
