At least I'm intelligent enough to spell the word right. And I was just being so blunt since the anti-Toyota bias was clearly evident from the opening paragraph. Yes, I'm a Toyota guy and I'm biased as well, but the author was clearly biased in his story as well. Guess what you expect from the Wall Street Journal.

The Wall Street Journal exists mostly to promote certain agendas. Much of their reporting is actually pretty professional and generally well-done, but it only takes a couple reads of their editorial section to realize the loons who edit the thing.

Now I may be wrong here... but wasn't the Geo Metro basically a Tercel/Corolla? Wasn't it one of those joint ventures like the Matrix/Vibe?

Actually that was the Geo prizm and the corolla....if i remember right. I believe the metro was basically a suzuki.
