Mileage maniacs hack Toyota's Prius for 116 mpg

Their are some people who push their Prius to the brink to get the most MPG. Toyota advertises 55 MPG

Bottomline is, to really get the most out of hybrid cars like the Prius, you need to learn and know how to drive it.

I'm a sometimes a leadfoot, and can't be bothered accelerating like I'm in no hurry to get a heart-transplant Although I still get an average below 7L/100km through a mix of slow city and fast highway driving. Numbers will get to around 6L/100km average during the summer.

Soon the hacks will be going the other way, shouldn't be long before someone figure out how to get more power to the wheels.
