SUVs's sales don't decline, some people just trade in their SUVs for a smaller fuel efficient car. Which did happened last year, it was all over the news.
Unless new suv owners sprout up to take their place that would consitute a decline in suv sales. I for one am glad to see it. With soccer moms defecting from the suv camp in droves perhaps we can expect a resurgence of real suv's again. You know, vehicles that can actually go off-road instead of vehicles that simply look like vehicles that can actually go off-road.
Oh yes, the rest of the world...thats right, I remember now, I don't really care what the rest of the world thinks and am uncertain why the rest of the world would assume that I do.
Thank you for pointing out one of the great issues.

Unfortunately, that only applies to about ten percent of customers at best.
Hence: "Not enough!". Why not heighten the price and let's see who really needs the over sized SUVs?
The Tundra is a nice piece, but "impressive engineering". . . . .not so much (though a case could be made for the engine). And before you and the other “Captain Toyota’s” start calling me out as a “basher” or “hater”, I would say the same thing about the new GM offerings. . . . . Oh well. . . .
With that being said, I like the look of the rendering. I'm anxious to see what it's going to look like. . . .

I'm sorry, do I owe the international community something of which I am unaware?

Oh, fantastic idea. Lets punish the people who genuinely need these trucks since they will be the only ones willing to pay more than they are worth assuming we do jack the price up into the stratosphere....that will show those soccer moms!

Wow. Getting touchy now, aren't we?
Of course you don't owe the International community anything. As an American you are free to pollute twice as much as all of Europe without having to do anything about it.
And punish? Isn't USA the "richest country in the World"? I'm just suggesting the idea of something that might remind about some problems regarding these vehicles. You know. Like the warning on many coffee cups in your country telling you that they might contain hot content.
