It will be interesting to see what it is. Toyotafanfan said that there will be a new Toyota crossover so maybe this is it? Or a platform for it as well as other cars?
Although I know the 4Runner is a truck based SUV.
theres definitely some truth to a new crossover coming late next year but there are no details other than it exists, my gsm mentioned something about it when he went to the managers meeting in Hawaii earlier in the month it was there. as far as the pix go thats the new LC in disguise
09 MODEL year is very soon and yet no info available.....too bad!
Maybe thats why this thread is named 2010 4runner...
Well the Seqouia is coming soon don't hear too much about it, I don't. We had those teaser cameo pictures awhile ago but nothing earth shattering. Toyota is generally good about keeping mum on new models. Yeah it could come 09 or 2010 model. ITs not even the end of 07. So if it were an 09 we might not hear about it till the middle or end of 08 so a year or so from now.

The 09 sequoia will be unveiled in a couple of weeks !!! in the LA auto show.
So, having already seen various test mules weeks ago, for the sequoia, but nothing for the 4runner makes me think it will be a 2010 model.
This is the new Landcruiser. You can really see the resemblance between the old one and the new one in the pic below - check the mirrors and the general shape.
Toyota puts Michigan plates on their test vehicles to throw people off.
But for the record - I'm 99% sure that this is the new Landcruiser, which doesn't look like too much of a body makeover.

Um, if you guys haven't noticed, the headrests, the tail lamps, the window lines.. its a land cruiser in its test uniform. Next GX/4R my ass. Pay attention to the details, the way the bumper hangs, the 5 lugs, the cieling of the interior, the handles inside, the body shape, the way the but buldges, the spacing of the corner of the rear tailamp and window wiper, the placement of the water jet, the license plate location, the overal shape of the front fender. Its a 200 series still in disguise. Compare the pix to the Australian prototype. Also, the high mounted stop lamp is a dead give away.
