^ Nope those are way past this stage and are going to be appearing in showrooms early next year. Dealers are actually getting ready to get the official test drives on those in the next few months from what I've been told.
This is actually the mock up test platform for either the 4 Runner or Lexus.

Like a test mule?
It will be interesting to see what it is. Toyotafanfan said that there will be a new Toyota crossover so maybe this is it? Or a platform for it as well as other cars?
Although I know the 4Runner is a truck based SUV.

I don't think that this is a test mule for the new crossover vehicle. A crossover is a car-based vehicle with the utility of a SUV, and this vehicle seems obviously to be a truck-based SUV.

Good point!

Michigan manufacturer plates? I know Toyota has an engineering/design team in Ann Arbor, but this has no design cues of a Toyota or a 4Runner, at all. Not even a little bit. It also looks more like a full-size SUV based on the rear doors. Show us the damn front end.

At first, I thought the tacked-on tail-lights were from the current Lexus GX470, but when I took another look at pictures of the GX, I don't think they are. But, the reverse lights look to me like they are off the current GS sedan.
I agree that it does not seem to have the design cues of the 4Runner. It seems quite large and high, suggesting a full-size (truck-based) SUV.
So, my guess is that it is a Toyota (or Lexus) full-size SUV (or maybe new GX).
Um, if you guys haven't noticed, the headrests, the tail lamps, the window lines.. its a land cruiser in its test uniform. Next GX/4R my ass. Pay attention to the details, the way the bumper hangs, the 5 lugs, the cieling of the interior, the handles inside, the body shape, the way the but buldges, the spacing of the corner of the rear tailamp and window wiper, the placement of the water jet, the license plate location, the overal shape of the front fender. Its a 200 series still in disguise. Compare the pix to the Australian prototype. Also, the high mounted stop lamp is a dead give away.
