Wow, that's intense but really cool. I assume it would assist and not be the sole power of A/C. Also another thing is costs. Toyota will take a hit on this, at least for awhile. Also if the solar panels get damaged $$$$. I'm sure they will intergrate it into the roof so its protected but effective. Kudos for Toyota but we all know the Volt is better

There is an aftermarket Solar Panel equipped Prius already;http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007..._hybrid_ca.php.

I guess powering up the AC is one way, but I prefer powering up the battery.
