I like it. I like how they put the x in the grill. So cool.

^ It's bigger than the Fusion. It's slightly bigger than the Camry. I would say it'll probably be based between the Toyota Crown and the Avalon. That is, if Toyota would be smart to bring the Crown over and replace the Avalon cause....who cares about the Avalon these days? The Crown would be just sweet. It would be the flagship for Toyota USA. Toyota needs to bring some of their RWD cars over from Japan to us.

Its a definite nicer car than the Avalon, though the giant X in front looks silly IMO (easily can be fixed); however, it would need more power than the 2GRFSE has in order to compete with a Taurus SHO. However, Toyota probably sees no need for the Mark X to come here, since the Dollar is so weak right now.

It's the same wheelbase as GS and use the IS range of engines mated to 6 auto. I assume it's a variant of one of those, or they are related models.
Looks like for US$26K, you get the "standard" model with 2.5L V6 which has 215/60-16 tires and steel wheels and hubcaps like Camry. No way this wheel/tire combo will fly on a Lexus branded vehicle. Interior some kind of textile. No HID, fog lamps, and optitron gauges on base model. Seems like a fairly mundane vehicle.
So it seems like a stripped down restyled GS/IS. Wheel base is 1" longer than Avalon but overall length is 1ft shorter (Avalon is 5009mm length). It probably won't replace Avalon and it can hurt GS/IS sales which command a premium price so I don't see it coming over here as a Toyota branded vehicle.
