Consumer reports also rated the Ford Fusion highest ranked midsize sedan beating both the Camry and Accord. This is a good thing for Ford except for the fact that the Fusion is built in Mexico. I find it sad that the domestic automakers still haven't had a car rated this high that is built in America.
The only thing they got truly correct is Chrysler at the bottom. But Cadillac 2nd last? Of the GM brands that have the least troublesome vehicles its Buick, GMC and Cadillac. Kia placing higher than Mazda and Ford is also incorrect from my own experience considering the 2009 redesigned models are the only time Kia has actually stepped up in an attempt to match up to Hyundai. The 2008 Rios and all the Spectras have not been as trouble free as a Mazda 3, Mazda 6, Ford Focus, Ford Fusion, etc.
Oddly enough this is the first time Mitsubishi managed to be very high on any quality rankings. They normally suffer as being the worst or 2nd worst Japanese brand. I like Mitsubishi's current vehicles especially to drive, but they do have some terrible interior quality.
p.s. There is no need to bring Scion to Canada. Keep it in US. It is so yesterday and played out. All of the products are way outdated. Better yet, kill the brand and focus on bringing out true performance oriented products in Toyota to capture a new brand image and younger demographics. Toyota needs Toyota to survive and not Scion.

I agree. Toyota pulled a GM what they did to Saturn. Make it just another brand that is rebadged.
Either kill it or come out with killer products. Like small cool cars, back to their core. Not bloated Toyota cars with as scion badge. But yes make some performance cars for Toyota. That's anothe stragedy.

U.S. media is a systematic censorship on free speech. They don't like what they hear they don't report. Don't want to upset the political and advertising sponsors. Its so corrupted. While they don't have to agree with certain views, its their job to report and let US decide.
With the FT-86 and LF-A, Toyota is slowly starting to realize again the importance of "brand image". Only Toyota products will help Toyota's image and not Scion so they need to be badged 'Toyota'. Let's not forget, the success of Toyota in the early 2000s was a result of all the efforts and reputation Toyota built in the 1980s and 1990s. The false sense of security led to Toyota making sales and expansion their primary objective.
Toyota needs to revisit the philosophy from the 1980s and 1990s and hopefully with the technology, precision and innovation Toyota is discovering with their masterpiece LF-A and racing will trickle down to cheaper products for example, it is awesome that Toyota is experimenting with 10 independent throttle bodies in LF-A V10 for best throttle response. This could be something Toyota might utilize in V6 and V8 engines in the future as well.
