With all of the talk about the FT-86, and all of the questions surrounding what it will be called, I decided to pose this question:
What NEW name should the FT-86 be called? The key word is NEW!
It's not a Corolla, the Celica is dead, the Supra is dead, and the Scion tC should be dead!
So lets see what names people can come up with.
I'll start with Toyota Touge, since "touge" in Japanese means mountain passes, which is exactly where people are going to want to take this car drifting.

How about Shiryo? That's the Japanese equivalent to a spiritual kind of ghost. Seems like ghost fits the look....
Thats cool name, nice!

Ain't that the truth! We should do something about that, like buy up a sh!tty ski hill, design a Japan "feel" course, carve it into the miny mountain and pave us up a race course!!
Damn I wish I was retarded rich, cuz I would totally do that for Southern Ontario motorsport enthusiasts.

Reason: typo
I like this suggestion... it is maybe time for a new legend to be created. I know they will want to try and tie this car back to what used to be... which is good for the nostalgia factor but creating something new I think is more desirable to me.
The CEO of Toyota said the car will likely revive the Celica name. And this should be in the General discussion forum since I thought this was a news release.

Because like the Toyota News forum's sub-title reads: "News and discussion related to the Toyota family brand."

They call it the FT-86, which is a successor to the AE86, which was a Corolla.
