CHERRY HILL, N.J., April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America, Inc. today announced pricing for its much-heralded 2013 BRZ, starting at $25,495 for the Premium model with a six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed automatic version starts at $26,595. Premium models come standard with touch-screen GPS Navigation, Bluetooth® connectivity and HID headlamps. Above the well-appointed Premium model, Limited models add Alcantara seat inserts with leather bolsters, heated seats and mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control system, fog lights, Keyless Access & Start and body-color decklid spoiler. Limited models come equipped with leather seats and start at $27,495 when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and $28,595 for automatic versions.
For just $1,295 more than the FR-S, would you want the BR-Z Premium? I think it's worth it for the GPS and HIDs alone.
Wow, the base BRZ is not that much more expensive than the FR-S. Since you can haggle the Subaru salesman...does the FR-S have any real advantages over the BRZ? Unless Scion offers some amazing financing of some sort as a form of haggling, the pure pricing, smaller dealer network and monospec put the FR-S at a disadvantage that Toyota self imposed on it by not putting the Toyota badge.

^^Thanks for the post. These cars are already legends and I know will have a cult following if not already. it goes to show that while lots of power is nice a real focused car that is "light" but has great power to weight ratio can be a real joy. Its not only power but its the chassis and how the car behaves and how it puts down the power and how it drives.

While certain of the items are cool, this is a show car, and doesn't impress like the tuners in Japan, and what they are doing to the 86 (like the V8 powered one). It just doesn't look right without the roof. Leave the Miata to being a convertible please.
