Toyota Camry SE Sport Limited Edition Model Released
Toyota has just announced a new limited production model of the four-cylinder, Camry SE, that offers some legitimate sporting upgrades from the base model.
The Camry SE already comes with some serious suspension upgrades which is perhaps why the Limited Sport Edition (SLE) is basically a paint and wheels upgrade over the standard 2.5 SE. It should also be mentioned that the limited production version of this car is offered with a Blizzard Pearl paint job for a only a certain period of time.
The Camry SE Sport Limited Edition, is not a package for the base SE but it’s own trim model. A base Camry SE with the 2.5 liter engine sports 178hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. It also features a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. There is of course a body kit and 17-inch rims, wrapped in low-profile Bridgestone Turanza tires, but the real story is the suspension ugrades. The shocks and springs are stiffer, and under the hood a strut-tower braces smiles at you. A cross-brace is also added in the trunk which prohibits the rear seats from folding down.
Current one. The 2013 model. I'm afraid Subaru might water down the next gen since Toyota seems to spread their influence onto Subaru models as of late.
I test drove one today and that confirmed it for me. 90% chance that I will probably buy one by end of this year. Man, it's no other car that I've driven before. When that turbo kicks in after 3500rpm, it's flipping crazy.
I sat inside the FR-S today and wasn't really impressed. I don't know if it's the crappy interior materials that Scion picked or just really small for me....and several big blind spots, but the WRX is a whole different car, something that fits my taste for now.
It's either that or the new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe with all the bells and whistles.

Can't go wrong with either the Santa Fe or the WRX...depending on whether you want fun driving or fun in the backseat.

Hope you are getting the sedan. If done right the WRX looks sic. If you do get it share some pics!

I'm planning to get the Sedan. No hatchback for me. It's too much of a "college boy racer" look IMO. Plus, if I was getting the hatch, the first thing to go are the taillights, and change it to a much better JDM Subaru version.
The insurance is about the same as my Camry for full coverage. It's actually lot cheaper if I opt liability on it compared to the camry, but it's a new car, I need full coverage.
Of course, the first mod I'll be doing is the exhaust. I really like the Blitz exhaust for it. I might get that, lower it, rims, and maybe some Varis parts here and there, and a better BOV.
