Toyota Furia Concept Teased Again

Reliable and long-lasting, yes, but Toyota models are not known for their dramatic style. That, however, may all change next week when the world’s largest automaker unveils the Furia concept car at the Detroit Auto Show.

Teased once again in a lone photo, it’s obvious the Furia is an attractive piece of sheetmetal, with Lexus-like styling and aggressive features. And as though that wasn’t enough to convince you that Toyota is planning a dramatic shift in its design department, the use of carbon fiber on the concept should.

Perhaps most shocking of all are rumors pointing to the fact that this concept isn’t of a wild sports car or performance sedan (though it could be), but the 2014 Corolla.

Set to be revealed next Monday, January 14th, Toyota is keeping quiet on the car, opting instead to promote how it will be unveiled; using 30 custom 46-inch transparent LCD screens. Fancy!

2014 Corolla Furia

2014 Corolla (Furia) could be an all new retro tribute to the Corolla's heritage of sensibility and reliability. Envisioning how the 2014 Corolla steps forward into the New Year is easy, with slightly modified bodywork that combines with Avalon-inspired headlights and tail-lamps. Let's REALLY go places this time Toyota!

LE, XLE, and SE trims should be the standard for the 2014 Corolla. Look for a version of Entune or the 6.1 inch display audio in all grades.

- Could Toyota's Furia stand for "Future Retro Inspired Automobile"? (2014 Corolla evokes memories of the 1992-1997 Corolla!)

I hate that front end.

Kick start the Fall of 2013 with a brand new 2014 Corolla!

That's it? How disappointing. All the hype they tried to give it is probably gonna hurt more.

I like the front, the rear...look like avalon jr. hope it looks better in person ;)

I think the front would look better with a honeycome grill. But otherwise not too bad I guess. A little more edgy which is not usually synonymous with a Rolla.

maybe the S or xrs will have a honeycomb grille

Heck I like the way that gray one looks. I'm not seeing a Civic in that.
