Hey guys so this morning i drop of the camry to get all my electrical stuff checked out since im having problem
guy says it 100 an hour to look at it, at this point im like ok should be that long
about 12 the guy calls, says he found the problem fixed the wires, but since they were touching metal it shorted out a relay, so he has to order one, 260 piece, wtf shits expensive
so all in all 580 then taxes, i think 618 cant wait to pick it up tomaro
They like to try and trick me into ordering the wrong parts sometimes. Or they will be dicks some times and call a part another name just so I will bring it in and have it looked at.
My local dealer treats me like gold. $67.50 CDN/hr..... I get a discount on parts and they do stuff as quickly as possible and always get my car back to me on or before time. I love em and I think they love me ! LOL !
drew you should have told me i would have had u bring the car to amity toyota my cousins a mechanic there they would have charged u cause u gotta make an appointment but he would have been completly honest

anybody else get raped at toyota dealers
Dude NEVER take your car into the dealership. I had an electrical problem with my Cam and I took it to the dealship, 2 weeks later and over $400 later they didn't fix my fucking car and still made me pay the money!!! They wouldn't refund my money or anything. They're liars and lowlifes that make their money by ripping people off!!

in Toronto. Labor rate is 92$ CND/ hr that's all i know.
i went to the dealer like 3 times for first 3 oil change.
and got my drum machined recently for like 100$ something CND. i guess that's not bad. but indeed, some of their service cost a lot, like little things too, parts are expensive too. one like plastic bolt is like 5$ CND + Tax !! lol
The closest dealership to me is real shady. My rear brake light bulb kept coming on but no rear brake lights were out. I called this dealership and they wanted me to bring the car in for $90 an hour. Said there could be an electrical problem. I said no thanks, I'll take care of it myself.
Call the dealership a few towns over and the service writer asks me, "Did you check the bulb in the third brake light?" I checked and that was it. I ended up spending $2.00 on some bulbs while the local dealership wanted $90 an hour to fix a damn light bulb.
ive never been raped by toyota. they actually showed me love with free touch up paint and a car wash when they sent me a recall letter for my steering wheel needing to be tighten because they took 15 mins over what they said it would take.

I hate my dealer, they rape you (hence I have my own Toyota mechanic, who I trust - you cannot sit down a talk with him (he isn't a chatty person)), and anyone who thinks the dealer can really do stuff a good, dedicated Toyota mechanic cannot, guess again. Ford and Chevy have proven that over an over
In general, dealers are shitty.

My mom brings to the dealer all the time........ but I use the car 100% now, so I fix my own problems, and find a shop that lets me do my own oil change for a couple bucks.
OEM knock sensor....i've gone thru 4 of them since owning the car...200 CAD a piece almost.....damn things are so sensitive...but if i do blow this one...*knocks on wood...i will be getting an aftermarket one...they are more reliable and cheaper...go figure....
