Wow go Toyota!

It's nuts how sales for the Civic are so high...the insurance is pretty high on a Civic, still can't believe they're selling that well. Corolla isn't even a close 2nd.

People need to stop buying those sunfires... I've heard enough horror stories about them...

Not sure where they got their July numbers, but this is right from the horses mouth - government registrations (which don't lie).

Damn people...stop buying that Pontiac crap!
I wonder why Car & Driver reported different numbers? Might be because they're using the self-reported numbers that Desrosiers captures...and the Big-3 tend to hold-back on reporting their "by-model breakdown" numbers until later in the month...so they just got dropped all together. IMHO that's lost marketing opportunity for them.

01 HONDA CIVIC 6985
02 TOYOTA COROLLA 4268
03 MAZDA 3 4075
04 FORD FOCUS 2859

06 TOYOTA ECHO 2702
07 CHEVROLET IMPALA 2312
08 PONTIAC SUNFIRE 2291
09 CHRYSLER SEBRING 2130
10 PONTIAC GRAND AM 2094

Actually Civic has one of the lowest rates for insurance. Especially 4 door auto.

Cool

First gen sunfire owns man! My grand dad bought my aunt one for her 16th b'day. He, being an engineer, was really pissed when he found that he had to pull the engine to change the spark plugs LoL!

That's almost as bad as the Toyota v6's! Gotta take the intake and crap off to change the rear bank.

I dunno it was a stat from the insurance company. I guess that means the lowest average to insure a new car...

OR Insurance companies realize that Civics are slow...

That's Sunbird, I think. The original Sunfire was a concept car from the late 80s that the 94 model took a lot of styling cues from. Until the New J-body came out, it was actually a rebadged Isuzu from GM's short lived Asuna line.

FYI - the civic is higher than the Corolla because it combines the Sedan&Coupe - the Corolla outsells the Civic Sedan by a HUGE margin.

bastards dont point that out (can you say - HONDA INCENTIVES)

I would assume that if Toyota had a 2dr Corolla it would be a lot different.
