Log Out Button not working - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I'm at school right now. And I clicked the logout button. It said that all cookie was cleared. Well when I went back to the main forum, I was still logged in. So I did it again, but at the same results.

It has always worked previously. Is there an error in the code somewhere that might have come up?

Hopefully no one does anything on my account while I'm still logged in

Does it says your still logged in via the top? Or does it say your logged in on the bottom of the forum main page. The users "logged on" on the forum main page have just recently posted, instead of being logged on I believe.

Nope, at the top it says "SMOKINGTIRESV6" and has my avatar displayed. And I can still post under it. Much like my post above

Nope, went back to the main screen like I usually do. I always like to check and make sure it logged me out. Usually I am, but this time I wasn't

I think the computer logs you. It'll save ur cookies and all that and you can't do anything about it because usually the school puts admin setting on.

I know that a lot of schools can check all the websites you've been to.

They can check the sites, that's not the issue. Cookie is on the computer. It's what saves your password. By clearing cookie (which is what the log out button does), you clear your password from the computer.

I still haven't seen any Admin presence in here

after you log out, do you hit the return to the forums here link on the log out screen?... that usually does the trick

I have had that happen to me before. But i don't remember where.

It showed me logged in at the main forum screen. But i couldn't post. When i refreshed the screen I was logged out.

Maybe deleting from the history after you log out?

Cookie isn't linked to your web browsers history.

Nope, I could still post. I tried to log out three times, then I came and wrote my first post in this thread.

Please, could I get at least a little input from the great Ratko? I know he will at least have some idea of what's going on

It's a week later and when I typed in the forum URL, I was still signed in

when you sign out click the link that says go back to forum on the page that says all cookies have been cleared.

or try to manually delete the cookies yourself from the "Tools" menu in the toolbar
