buying and selling stuff

ever think of integratin one of those rules like, "you need 10 or 25 or 50 or whatever # of posts to use the buy/sell forum" might keep some people from being scammed, might keep shitty traffic down?

maybe have that rule and a feature to PM a mod or somebody to sponsor you, that knows you are good for the item, if you want to buy/sell???

anybody think this is a good or bad idea?

Sounds like a good idea. Prolly 10 posts should be the minimum to use the forum. Im thinkin that because what if someone just joined and they totaled their car right after?
I highly doubt that the PM to mod is a good idea. I mean, if i want to get somethin sold, I don't want to wait a couple hours until a mod signs on. Im sure mods wouldn't want to be flooded w/ pms about buying and selling too.

Tell me if this sounds like a good idea. Car related FS and Non Car related FS.

Do we actually have that many people that don't follow through on their deals?

It's pissing me off on another site right now. I want to post a STi that I have for sale, but I can't because I don't have over 30 posts. But I have been on the forum for over 6 months. It's just that the threads are on such lame topics and on other cars that I don't know, that I don't post a lot. So I can't post this car for sale even though I have been on there for a long time and have given good advice when I do post.

I think it would just encourage post whoring in order to get your count up.

And Camnubs support isn't much. He also supported a bunch of other bad ideas *the list goes on*

right on smoking... i understand that can be annoying... i don't know that many transactions go sour, but just something i was thinking about since lots of money can be traded, and getting over 20,000 memebers, dont want things to go down the shitter
