If anyone can program in C++ or the like..i propose an idea that will help TN's keep up to date with current post.

TNN, Toyota Nation Notifier. A program the resides in the system tray, connected to TN's server. You subscribe somehow to a thread or section..and this program will deliver a little popup (like MSN) when a new post is created.

Especially useful for Parts Wanted/For sale section. That way you can just keep on working..and when a reply comes along..you are intantly notified!

I know you have email notification..but this is something that would be alot easier on the user...email..you have open the window...look at the message..delete etc etc..this is just a real time program that is always tracking for you.

Just an idea.

meh, seems like a cool idea that would get old real soon, get firefox, gmail and run the notifier, that works just as well

We also have the New Post button at the top. E-mail is enough to make sure people know. Otherwise it's just getting lazy. Besides, if you see an E-mail in your MSN messanger, you check it no matter what it is. SO wouldn't you like it if it was from TN?

i think it would be a good idea. I don't subscribe to threads b/c i have a shitty email service at college and it just fills up too fast w/ college emails, let alone TN responses.

It would be nice if i had a little icon in my taskbar that alerted me to threads that i've posted in. just my .02
