i had three 3 kbyte photos and they were removed because i had more than one photo

i mean i understand the need for some order on forums but that's a little strict. Here's a suggestion: why dont you let us express ourselves? Ok remove the spammers and sigs that take a minute to download over 56k, but come on, 9 kbyte isn't goin to kill anyone.

this is the most restrictive signature rules i've ever seen.

now watch this thread get removed. Reason? Can't question the moderator's judgement

Try to combine all three pics into one which falls into the limit using a program such as photochop. Or just ask someone here to combine them for u.

Post up the pics your trying to use.

yeah i got it, but it was just annoying to be told "hey u can't have more than one photo even though they're only 3 kbyte each."

first of all, wrong forum.

secondly, i agree with u.
my sign has been removed numerous times.
the first time i was wrong cos it did not fit the dimension, the next 2-3 times, it was just removed for no apparent reasons eventhough i abided by the rules. no reason given to me @ all.

edit:
might be a lurking mod on the camry section. I am onl here like 3 hrs a day and i know most of the mods that post in this section, never had a problem with a mods telling me about my sign after i editted it to 264* 150.

It's not that hard folks. We have those signature rules for a reason. Some people still use 56K. By having numerous pics, or pics that are too large it makes it take longer for them to load the screen.

If the Mods didn't enforce these signature rules, then the sig pics would continue to get larger and make the site load up even slower for 56K users.

The guidelines are very simple.

Signature Rules:
1. Keep it under 5 lines.
2. ONE image per sig.
3. Maximum image size should be under 50kB, to be courteous to our members on slower connections.
4. Maximum image dimensions shouldn't exceed 500 pixels wide, and 150 pixels high. <-- VERY IMPORTANT - MOST COMMON VIOLATION!
5. No animations.
6. Keep text to under 50 words or so, it isn't your homepage.
7. No nudity or offensive material
8. No commercial/business/website promotion. NEW!
9. The only URL's allowed in signatures are to your own car's personal website. This goes hand-in-hand with the above rule. NEW!

Avatar Rules:

Conclusion: The purpose of signature/avatar is to personalize your posts. With that in mind, it should be related to yourself (eg. picture of your car) and not any business/company/website/funny link that you promote or vouch for.
