I've been seeing posts of audio equipment in the Auto Parts section and the Non-Automotive. I think it might be a good idea to have a dedicated section for Car Audio stuff.

That crossed my mind too. Because 'head units' for example, are specifically car parts, but because it's audio I can see how it's considered non-automotive.
edit: D'OH...OKAY...HOW PUT UP THE OTHER TWO FOR A TOTAL OF THREE YEAS AND ZERO NOs?

I see your logic, but I don't completely subscribe to it. I think A/V stuff should be listed under Car Parts. A deck belongs in a car and thus it's a Car Part. A 12V amp belongs in a car etc... Seldom will you see these components used in non-automotive applications. If you do decide to make a dedicated A/V classified section, I think it'd be easier to find as a sub-forum in the the For Sale section as opposed to the A/V forum $0.02

The main reson why I think Car Audio equipment should get it's own for sale section is because they are vehicle universal. They'd get quickly dropped off the screen and harder to sort through to find the equipment mixed in with all the other vehicle specific equipment. This way if someone wanted to look for car audio gear, you just go straight to that forum, instead of trying to put in a search keyword.

I agreee on this one...after all most people can't understand the concept of the search button anyways
I think any car audio equipments that are designed for a vehicle should go into auto parts. Case in point, if you have a 50" plasma screen that you *want* to fit in a car's trunk, it would go under non-automotive. If you want to take the 4" screen out of the car and put it in the house/boat/concord you can, but that'll go under Auto Parts forum. Flat panel for PC that you want to fit in a car? Non-automotive. The list goes on.

I disagree. Along the same line, wheels & lights are also vehicle universal. More sub-forums in the Buy/Sell section to provide more specific category will be created when the demand is there to withstand it.

Going thru the first 2 pages of Auto Parts, I only see 5 posts that's related to audio. I don't see enough demand for it to have its own forum just yet.
Whether people uses the search feature is an entirely different issue. We're still looking into more ways on fixing this problem. Feel free to have some input if you may.
