Possible request username change

If I was to ask for a username change, is there a way that the one I currently use can be blocked to where no one can register under it? I highly doubt anyone would but I would like it if this were possible.

Dunno if admins would allow it, but you COULD change your username and register the one you currently have to lock it in.

But then again, I don't know this board's policy on that yet.

i dont think so. white rabbit used to be just 'white r' because someone else had registered at white rabbit before, but do to the originals in activity, white r was able to become white rabbit. so, no, i dont think so...the 'powers that be...' only want you to register once.

PM Ekam or Ratko for a quicker response. They do consider name changes on a case by case basis. As for blocking your old name, I doubt they'll do that.

Yeah I don't want to re-register. I'd be looking for a legit name change and then I'd like my current username to be blocked.

I've seen on other sites I go to this is common place because certain members are banned/deleted or the owner has problems with a member from another board and wishes them not to come on the board.

Yeah we'll change your username to whatever you want (assuming its not taken), but we can't reserve your old name if you choose to change it.

you could put a ban filter on the name in question couldn't you, kinda like an ip ban or email ban, it's just a few clicks i think...but i really dunno

yes, we could, but it would be a very bad precident to set, and its certainly not a situation that we could continue duplicating.
