Whats with all the noobs coming on and bashing Toyota lately? It seems like theres a few people who like to come on TN for no other reason than to post articles from detnews or whatever that blatantly bash Toyota while praising the domestics.
I dont know about anyone else, but I think its getting kind of old...

Toyota: Like other cars, only better.
It's not so much trolling as much as it's offering the 'other view'. Not to be confused with fanboyism. You can take what you want from the other view, but there's no reason for it to explode.
I have feet set heavily in both camps, with a heavier foot on the Toyota side. I'll defend things where it's due. And honestly, I don't need to be defending against fanboyism, but if it's one thing I don't like, it's propagation of false information based on ignorance or assumption. I guess hanging out in the Supra forum here (with the correcting of many noobs, lol) made me a stickler that way
It's never something new. It's old. Ooooooooooooold. The debate isn't limited to TN. I've had to lock many-a-theads on the Cressida forums based on these things.
I respect others' opinions and have no problem with that. However, it seems like we have a few users on here who like to post so-called "news" articles (they seem more like some magazine writer's editorial opinon to me) that bash Toyota and praise the domestics.
It just seems to me like they are trying to stir up trouble. One example of this one (GM makes hay outside Toyota's gig): http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t96929.html
How can you say that the author of that thread ISNT trying to stir up trouble?
I have no problem with people talking about problems that Toyota needs to address but when they come on a TOYOTA forum and make threads that blatantly bash Toyota, thats trolling in my opinion.

THANK YOU. I've been constantly bashed on my home turf, and yet I can't go onto say GMI, praise Toyota, and diss GM. I'm glad someone agrees with me.

So? Atleast I'm don't offend the other die-hard Toyota lovers on this site like ToyotaMan etc. Go to www.gminsidenews.com and just look at some of the posts there. They constantly mock, and make fun of Toyota, so I'll do the same to the domestics here. If people like dsmnick mock the Cressida, people better be SCARED lol.

Still I'm mistreated on a SITE where I agree with the majority of the members. If you haven't noticed this isn't "GMnation.com". I don't have a problem with dsmnick etc coming here, but when they disagree with my opinions on my home turf is when I get angry.

No. The problem I have is that your bashing Domestics w/ all their recalls when every couple weeks you also see Toyota coming out w/ huge recalls.
I don't really like any domestics except for like Cadillac but when you blind yourself to the fact that Toyota's cars are not flawless, It's a bit too much.
Don't get me twisted, I love toyota. But I respect some other car brands too.
I respect other brands too like Honda, and Nissan, but I have VERY LITTLE RESPECT for the Domestics who still have management who make the WORST descisions of the automotive world, and they still produce a ton of shitty vehicles. Plus I grew up in Toyotas, and I don't plan on switching to GM/Ford because it's good to buy a Mexican made Fusion, or Korean buit Aveo rather than buying an AMERICAN made Camry.
Toyota for LIFE.

Since when is TN YOUR home turf. Its Ekam's and Ratko's home turf, but I dont think you can say its yours. The same goes for the rest of us who arent admins, we can get banned at any moment for any reason.
Besides, its pretty childish to get angry just because other people dont agree with your opinion. Your opinion is just that, YOUR opinion, not anyone else's and your opinion isnt law (neither is mine or anyone else's).
Seriously, Cress, I dont mean to put your down or bash you, but you need to chill out. Toyota isnt perfect. They never have been and they never will be.
