How do the mods know each other?

I didn't really know where to put this but I think this is a question we have all asked ourselves at one point or another:

How do all the mods here know each other? Did you all go to College together? Do you live in the same neighborhood? Who came first? Who started the site? Ect.

I think this is going to be an interesting thread if anyone sees it. Please move it to where it belongs. thank you.

Well it all started with the birds and the bees. Or was it the chicken or the egg? Oh wait...I can't explain this story...

Here's the story. It won't be as eloquent as Phi's write up, but it should help your curiousity.

A lot of us came from Camryman.org. The main people I remember are Jeff (SBC), Dickson (Ekam), me and Phi who was lurking a lot. That was back in 1999. Of course, everynow and then there would be a thread, who's from Canada? Toronto? Etc... After that, I believe Jeff collected all the Torontonian's email addresses and then emailed everyone.

Our first meet was at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto, it was me, Dickson, Jeff, and about three others who don't post anymore. I don't think there are any pics from that meet. By this time, Dickson had the idea of creating a website, which finally produced TT-CC.com...Toronto Toyota Camry Club. The second meet was in Richmond Hill, I believe the meet pics are up at TT-CC.com. During that time, he met the man with the plan, Ratko, and they were starting up TN...they realized TT-CC.com was starting to grow rapidly, so they needed a new medium of communicating ideas. I think by the third meet, there was a ton of cars, I didn't go and I never met Phi that day. We met the rest of the mods at the larger TN meets...and the rest is history.

If you search for the earliest posts in TN, you'll see how we were just talking to each other through our posts...no need to PM back then!

Relative to me, Ric&Sov live 5 minutes away, same with Dickson. Jeff is about 15 minutes away. MRQ, I believe only 15 minutes away. Phi is about 15 minutes away. Ratko is west end, about 40 minutes away.

(Lauren...with the chicken or egg thingy, the egg was actually a mutation and hence came the chicken which laid an egg which became another chicken....)

Try giving him a little wine before hand. That works for me.
