hmm... I understand what you are trying to do, the problem is to get the kind of performance you are after you'll need a very small turbine so you'll be boosting all the time, which will make for a really inefficient setup.

Some Isuzu have an IHI RHB5 with a pretty small compressor that is rated at about 130 HP or so, it might do what you need but I think the turbine side will be a little big. This has the same turbine as the turbo I'm using on my 1.6, I can get 5 psi by about 2700 RPM, if I mess with the timing, and restrict the inlet side (TVIS) I can get it down to 2300 or so.

You might want to find an IHI off an older suzuki 3 cylinder turbo.
