Talking Timing

Fellas, excuse me for not being clear! When timing by shorting the data plug, set at 5 degrees. This eliminates the advance and then take jumper off and check if its 10-14 degrees advanced. My chain is junk as is my housing, broke both guides, laying in pan, cut grooves in housing. Ordered a really good, I think, set from DOA Racing, their set has the steel backed guides and prestreached chain, will be here Sat. For those interested, to remove the pan on the 4x4, jack up the engine as far as possible, drop pan and unbolt pickup tube and lay in pan, unbolt the steering at the pitman arm only and you can get the pan out the front. Tim Jenkins at DOA really knows these toyotas. Tim
