Misc. Photography: GT4 Motion Blur & Billiard Balls!

*no* photoshop involved in these GT4 pics. Here are a couple of my faves, did it all with a lightly modded R32 Skyline GTS-t (RB20DET, RWD)

The rest viewable here: GT4 Photo Album
... more on previous pages as well.

And earlier today, I was down at the University of Toronto's St. George campus, hanging out at a buddy's dorm. Took some cool shots of billiard balls, of course, partially plugging http://www.2759.ca , my unfinished site, it's also the last 4 digits of my cell #, and the exact cubic centimetre count of the 5M-GE A little obsessive, I know.

The rest viewable here

I set the camera down on the table, set the aperture to as small as it'd go (f/8.0, I wish I had smaller, but it's a point and shoot Canon A75...).

Shutter speed was 1 second... after about half a second into the shot, I (or my brother or my friend) would quickly remove one of the billiard balls out of the frame. Ghost image

the hands aren't in the frame long enough (in the 1 second scheme of things) to be visible. You can kinda see the hand motion in some of the pics in the gallery, but if you can have an exposure longer than a second, the less that'll happen.

You should try it. Tripod may be necessary if you don't have a surface to put the camera on. Ghost image of a person, fool your friends? It's Halloween...
