My Sebring...

UPDATE JAN 2, 2006:

New clean pics with the tint and MOD 2: clear bumper lights:

MOD 3: Pioneer DEH-P6700MP headunit

MOD 4 & 5: Kicker 05KS60 6-1/2" speakers in door and rear deck (no picture as these are hidden under factory grills

I will update this as the progress moves on it.. and I'll bump it from time to time when I make updates... so if you are interested in progress you can check back from time to time.

If you don't care.... well I understand because it's an American car but meh... those who know the story behind it and know me, the'd understand why I work on it some

Yeah that's a buddy of mine's car. He wrecked it auto-x'ing and repaired the whole front end. While he was at it he put a ViS cf hood on it with hood pins... at 130mph racing it the hood flew up (hood pins broke). It smashed the windshield and dented the hood and sunroof (painted to match the car... I don't know if this is a factory option on this particular bimmer).

It's a base model 318ti with a M3 motor and rear end swap

Avenger has a different front end (no grill), different sides (no huge moldings) and a different trunk/taillight combo.

The Avenger front end is swappable with the Sebring's front and they use the same bumper lights and hood (cf hood in the future? lol.. probably not on this car). The trunks/taillights are not swappable however

I am looking at an Avenger/Sebring hybrid front end (with Avenger front end and Sebring fogs) here: http://www.infinitivedesigns.com/shopexd.son?id=3750

The Avenger and Sebring both came with the same engines... basically like a GMC Sierra and a Chevy Silverado when you're comparing them. Slight differences but same car.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment on the Camry and the Sebring. I sold the Camry for 2 main reasons:
1) The people I was making the payments to were very harsh.. even though I'd gone 2 years without missing a payment)
2) It was a 4 cylinder...

I wanted to see if I could get another loan on it to pay off my at that time current loan and just keep making payments but through a different lender (follow me on this one ) but since it was a 4 cylinder I just didn't put enough effort into it. If you do a search on my username and sift through all the BS you'll find multiple threads where I was asking about a V6 swap... no one seemed like they thought it was worth it... and I agreed. Then, when Rippmods announced they were stopping production of the supercharger for the 4 cylinder, the Camry dream died quickly. While it would have been a while before I would have bought the supercharger, it would have been purchased for the car in order for me to keep it.

My second mod (pics up tomorrow after I wash it):
clear bumper lights

My third, fourth, and fifth mod (awaiting delivery from Crutchfield):
Pioneer 6700 headunit
Kicker 6.5" in door
Kicker 6.5" in rear deck

Next mod on my list is new headlamps with clear reflector.... then I'm done until Springtime... at which point I'm going to get an Eibach Pro-Kit for it (1.8" drop all around)... after I get everything else taken care of, I'm getting a set of nice chrome rims (hey... it's a big body)
