Got tired of blurring my plates when I take pics of my car
So I made a rear plate to use when taking pics
UPDATE: INSTALLED (it may look crooked but that's because I have to have these little plastic pieces that the screws screw into (cheap Chrysler stuff I guess).
1) Looks better than a mosaic
2) Personalized
3) If I take multiple pictures, I don't have to blur multiple plates
4) If/When I show at NOPI 2006 or any other show (when I get more stuff done to my Sebring of course) I can put that plate on too.
So.... yes
And I have a cordless drill.. 2 seconds to take the old plate off and 2 seconds to put the new one on. Where do you get 5 minutes from?
just use a piece of white paper and fold it to fit...simple and easy...especially at car shows when everyone is taking pics and will not care about blurring your plate out...
That's pretty neat and I think it is a good idea! How did you make it?
Drew it up in CAD and cut it out on the CNC laser I work on.
Total cost: free (steel was scrap leftover)
Total time: 5mins to take measurements and draw/2 mins to cut/2 coats of paint (free)
That's a good idea. Looks great for shows I agree.
