I've always liekd the exterior design on them, minus the hood emblem.
I love that about this car. They stopped putting those on. I am amazed it hasn't been stolen...Buick oramants are classy in my book. I love their old style logo.
BTW: thanks all...This is a fine vehicle to drive the long distance in. I would really like to drive a 2000 Avalon and compare the two. It isn't fair to compare it to my 07 Camry for ride anyways. The Buick still is a better overall riding car. The seats are a bit longer and that is easier on my theighs/legs/back. However, it was a 32K car in 2000 and the Camry I own is a 20K car now. Still the Camry has 3 more sets of air bags that this one does not have. The side air bags in this Buick were the latest tech back then.
Nothing beats driving your Sofa down the road....

WOW man, what car is that? we dont have them in australia.
The Park Avenue was Buick's Top of the Line. It and the LeSabre were discontinued in place of the Lucerne. It saddens me. I love the styling of the Park Ave. It has the 3800 series V6 engine which in my view is the best that ever came out of Detroit.
Allot of people simply call them Old Men cars....they are more then that. They are a wonderful riding car. Oh...and Police never seem to see them speeding either. I think they have a Romulan Cloaking Device in them... I have blown by Police many times at 80+mph.

dont drive the Avalon. You'll want to get rid of the floaty boaty and step up to an Avalon. I think the Avalon drives nicer than a Cadillac myself. Jon. p.s. I think police don't stop these types of vehicles because they realize the drivers don't have much time left and are trying to get a lot of things done in as little time as possible j/k.
It's funny, the interior still looks similar to my 1987 Oldmobile 98 Regency. GM has created a car that works, and is supposively quite reliable. You gotta love those front bench seats though.
I think it's also one of the least broken into cars on the road.

I am sure there are allot of similarities between the too. The Old's 98 was their Top of the Line then also. I always liked Buicks over an Olds. Yes...the bench seat is awesome. So much room to move your buttocks around in. hehe I just got done cleaning out the inside and re-applying some leather conditioner. I am Ice Skating with my buttocks...
This car is not as boaty as other bigger cars. It has a pretty tight suspension. My 1994 Le Sabre Limited is allot more boaty. It is actually longer and heavier. The thing I wish this Park had was a Woodgrain steering wheel...that would look good and break up all that damn BLUE!
