True he would need an LSD, but not for a dragstrip. It would work on a race track. An LSD does not stop wheelspin in a straight line. It only makes sure both driving wheels are turning at the same speed so when a car takes a hard turn, it causes an in-lift (inner wheels lifting up thus reducing traction). An LSD makes sure when in-lift happens the driving wheels are turning at the same speed. In most cases, LSD will not help on a dragstrip.

I laughed when I saw the name... fwd vs rwd in a drag.... Maybe if the 350z driver could start better he would win! lol BUt the 350z sounded pretty stock.
and an lsd still helps in a straight line because once the wheels spin and lose traction there is nothing to dictate they keep going the same speed, and nothing says they will both grab at the same time. So the lsd would still be nice
Now who wants to race my I4 07 Camry LE with an Automatic? hehe
Better yet...my my 2000 Park Avenue with it's "Butter Smooth" 4 speed Auto? I may not win...but I will be totally comfortable while racing....
I used to have Pontiac Bonneville and those 3.8 series III engine is pretty fast especially if you get the supercharged version. The seats those GM cars are so comfy and ride is so soft (and floaty), really nice forlong distance trip (no backache, feels like siting on the couch). I don't even have to stop and stretch my body during long distance trip.
I'd race (not for speed) anybody for 1000 miles trip if I still have my Bonneville (or even better in a Buick), see who has more backache after 20 hrs trip

I always tell people that makes fun of my Old Man Buicks....It is Driving your Sofa down the road....Now tell me what MALE doesn't love to sit on a Sofa? hehe The bench seat in my opinion is still the best seat out there. Since they put in 60-40 type they are just awesome. (I grew up with real full bench seats that when the female was driving YOU were sitting there with your knees up to your ears)
I recently drove from Lansing,Mi to Chicago to see my son. Well...I took the Buick over the Camry. For one I didn't want the Camry to get damaged on Chicago's tight little streets to park on....and two I really wanted to enjoy the big car feel on a mini road trip....
EDIT: BTW: Where is Eyeball96? He will back me up on the good old days of bench seats....hehe
