Painted Caliper and Drums on Friends Focus

Well I did some work for my friend. I painted his caliper and drums on his 2002 Ford Focus. I put about 3 coats on, so the paint should be good and last a long time. It's not runny, or doesn't look ricey. Nice and clean. I should have probably taken the calipers off to paint them properly, but my friend didn't want me to, so I didn't. Enjoy. I'll post some more pics up later. Oh yeah, I'll post one up of the drums I did on the Honda too. (haven't done the calipers yet.

Here's the back drums of the Honda.

Just for Fun!

Personally I wouldn't pimp the fact I have rear drums by painting them red... but silver makes them still subtle and cleaned up (myself I'd probably do black). But it's just me.

Well it looks good on the car. I did the ones on the Honda silver aluminum color to clean them up/make them look new. But I definitely wouldn't have red or any obnoxious color on my car. I just painted his cause he asked me too...and his dad has a hookup at autozone.

Cool

To each, his own.
I'da painted the drums black to keep them looking clean & inconspicuous.

You forgot to paint his rotors. Now he'll have a shiney wheel, super attetion grabbing red calipers. And rust ass rotor hats in a week.

Yea I don't like the red. For Calipers I've settled for silver and black. The silver on the Accord looks nice. It doesn't jump ot at you. Any new pics of the accord?

Don't take this the wrong way, but that was sorta what I'm getting at. Why would you spend the effort to paint calipers pretty if you leave the rotors looking . It's doing a job 1/2 way. Look you take some silver high-temp paint & spray the rotor in two coats. It'll stay clean looking instead of rusty for years.

Just a thought!

I like that black btw.

^^ Oh and on the accord, I just replaced the oil pan last night with new gaskets, etc. Adjusted valves today and cleaned/put on a new gasket set. Also put brighter lights all around. Those ge Nighthawk lights are actually pretty good for sidemarkers, turn signals, etc. Besides that though, not too much is new.

I painted the calipers on the coupe and my truck. They were to visible through my wheels, and I got tired of looking at them! On the focus I'd probably went with a different color! To much red IMO!

Silver on the Coupe

Red on the truck
