best believe the hype!! 56K go shoot yourselg

it's cheap, power gains are pretty good according to my butt dyno and best of all, it's OEM

2000 camry 5sfe exhaust manifold was installed into my 92 GT coupe today.... here's my cost breakdown:

1. camry exhaust manifold - $50 from junkyard
2. OEM exhaust manifold gasket - $25
3. oxygen sensor - $30
4. labor to install and make downpipe - $50
5. Total - $155
6. Making the shop who said it didn't fit believe it at the end - priceless

1. Out with the old and the heavy

2. old skool technology

3. and in with the new

4.

5. Yes, it is from the camry.... u can see it written on the runner i'll wipe tht off later

6. damn it sits high!!!

well, after the install, i was driving back and i saw A LOT of smoke coming from my engine bay... everyone at the traffic light thought i was gonna blow up or something i pulled over quickly, popped the hood and there i saw it:...

the freakin header sits so high tht it was touching the heat insulator... well, i ripped it off and junked it... u can say it's a form of weight reduction

here's how my hood looks now... she looks naked lol

comments pls!

Ceramic coat or heatwrap the header, then re-install the cloth hood protector thing, it's there for a reason. Other than that though, looks great!

yeah, i'm thinking abt heat wrapping it..... and put back the heat insulator?? why would i do tht if it's touching? i took off the insulator, and tht $hit was thick.... maybe if they had a thinner one i would do it

I thought it was the ambient heat, not actual contact. Oh well, hopefully nothing's wrong if it's missing (I've heard you should keep it on the Supra Foums IIRC)

it was barely touching (or maybe not even touching)... anyways, it was close enough tht it burnt a lil bit of the insulator... i'll prob do a heat wrap and try putting back the insulator with a lil modification... maybe i'll trim it a lil cos it was really thick
