remember my accord project? updates here

well, i stopped by the shop today, and looked at the progress of the car... it'll take another week or less, but almost there.... problems i have ran into so far include:

1. Alternator and PS pulleys not aligned
2. Missing parts and wrong parts given to me by the f*cker who sold me the head ... basically, i was missing some cam caps, and the dizzy he sent me was for the F23 (accord motor)

only a handful of honda ppeps have done this swap, and I will be the first accord to finish this swap...lots of experimentations and trial and error, but tht's the price i pay for being a guinea pig lol...anyways, here are the pix:

1. My poor baby undergoing surgery

2. Look what we have here.... hhm.... can someone say DOHC?

3.

4. i'm soooo legal ... look at my carb stamp on the header

5. And here is the PITA things that is hurting my wallet :furious: See how the pulleys are not aligned at all

6. H23 brackets, H23 alternator, F23 PS pump (tht's why it didn't match up in previous pix).... they're waiting on the H23 PS pump

7. H23 timing belt and cam gear...hmmm....

8. A big, big mess

9. Visiting hours are over.... time to say buh bai

isn't that a usual swap for hondas now swapping to an h23 because of it's torque output and strength and something about being cheaper than the h22 with the vtec. Regardless good luck on the project.

H23 swaps are still rare cos the H22 power output is still way better than the H23... but i'm not swapping the whole motor, just the head which has been built.... the F23 block is strong and is an untapped resource till recently

Hi tq numbers with lower hp numbers like that are begging to be boosted haha, poor mans alternative to an H22, true... you will probably pull on H22's off the line but from a 40 roll or on the freeway i think the h22 will prevail
