Whats going on? I have not been on here in a while.. but I thought people would like to see a LED retrofit done. I tried to keep it as stock as possible. Please comment:
Pictures dont do it justice, but they are pretty nice. I will be doing reversse and front corners as well. Enjoy

^ i was going to ask the same thing cuz they look a bit odd to me. I haven't seen these LEDS used that often in automotive tailights. IMO, if you spread the leds a bit more...you might get a better affect. It kinda makes me think that its a halogen light with really bright hotspots. Other than that dude...its awesome work!
They are Lumiled Superflux from Phillips. They take up to 70mA per LED. Well i was going to cover the board with LED's but it was getting expensive, so I decided to move them apart. They look like LEDS in real life, the pictures make it look like hot spots. I dont know about the inners, I took them apart, and i dont see alot of room to mount everything i need for them. I am considering using some high powered LED's for the reverse lights though. Most supplies were bought from shopping online. The boards were taken from Radioshack. If I can find a place to host videos I can put some up later this week..

That is one great bright tail light... I use to have the same tail light, and an added GM tail light cover to protect the tail light assembly and also made an enhancement with my vehicle’s appearance... But too bad, it was broken when a motorcycle hit it after I made a sudden brake on a red light...
