This is my toy, an early model 69 KE10. (there was a late model 69 also...seems to me all they did was change most of the bolts and screws from a coarse thread to a fine thread)
It was my first car. Bought it 20 years ago for $300.
I'm third owner. It had 187,000 miles on it and had been sitting up for over a year. I put a new battery in and it fired right up. I have been driving it daily ever since and have put another 450,000 miles on it.
I got a ticket in 1995 for 131mph in a 45mph zone (among other things). I have to think they misread 113 but since the speedo only goes to 100 I don't know. I did make a trip from Little Rock to El Dorado (101 miles) in about 50 minutes and that includes having to slow way down through a couple of towns. It was 4am and foggy as hell.
It is currently undergoing a major overhaul, I hope to be mobile in about 2 weeks. Complete new engine, starter, carb, alt, etc. Hell someday I may even paint it, but every time I do some idiot runs into it. It has been hit 5 times without me even being in the car, just having it parked somewhere

There's a lot of fiberglass on her now and I'm looking for some seats that I can fit without a whole lot of modifications but I think I will keep her for a while longer. My sister says I should probably be buried in it (or I will die in it....)

I didn't realise I linked to the tiny ones, I can take more with my crappy lil camera phone but right this minute she's in several pieces gettin gussied up for the next half a million miles.

600K!! wow. is the odometer a 6 digit odometer? how did toyota verify your mileage before they gave you the sticker??

They didn't, and no, it only goes to 99,999, (over and over again)

. I just registered at Toyota's Hundred thousand mile club and they sent me a packet with the sticker, a catalog of Toyota stuff and over $200 in coupons. (I never used the coupons cuz I didn't see anything in the catalogs that I wanted). I have since forgotten my log in and crap for their site, I don't have the same email and it won't let me back in using the same vin number.
