I am the new owner of Justin's (WRAITH) Echo. Well I have been for the last few months. I am a previous Celica owner and Lexus Technician. I am a road racer and only plan to continue what Justin started.
There is allot to update on the status of the car. I purchased it with no motor or trany installed, with nothing in the car either. Just recently stitch welded the chassis and was preparing to install a Celica 2ZZ engine.
I have decided to install a 1ZZ engine with the TRD supercharger in near future and the 6speed. Considering there were only 4 brand new superchargers left in Toyota wherehouse across the US I have already purchased one and am planning to run it with an AEM EMS.
I have included some pictures of the status of the car as an update. I have recently, actually today, gotten the car running and drove it in the parking lot. I will get some more pics and somewhat of a writeup soon.
Engine trany installed
driver side rail notched for 6spd
cross member installed for front trany mount
cross member front mount
passenger rail notched and boxed for clearanced for front of motor
tight fit for the water pump pully. you can see the spacer I made for the front motor mount. Also notice the notch in the upper section of the mount where the new position is.
1zz with trd supercharger? Ive never seen the engine bay of an echo but will it fit? I have a 1zz 8th gen corolla and the trd supercharger wouldnt clear my hood at all.
^^^ That'd be a very tight fit, might not even be possible but you never know If an Echo has supercharged 2ZZ that'd be ballin' power-understeer all the way
