Castlegar DB DRAG Sound-Off Event 2007

Alright so last week the Redline-rush members and a whole bunch of Cranbrook's car audio enthusiasts
along with their sponsors grouped together for th2 2 hours drive to Castlegar
for the annual DB DRAG Sound-Off Comp. About 100 of us in our pimped out, ear-blasting, daily driven whips
made our way to the 2 day event.
I was gonna compete but my car wouldnt stand a chance in my class since this is the Canadian record breaking DB location hehe, so i just went along for the ride
and got these pics.

People came from all over the East Kootenays and from affar, even the states

All in all it was a great experience and many of us came home with trophies and sweet prizes.

sure is...
its been completely gutted and modified heavily (the walls and every surface of the vehicle is concreted 6 inches thick
its required that the vehicle has an engine and it can be driven under the tent so the driver sits on a box only 1 foot wide and uses a handlebar to steer and sticks his feet through holes to the pedals (its only driven around the event, certainly not street legal so they have a trailer)
that team in particular has set many canadian records and their from the calgary area i think
when they do a "burp" we it is called (producing the note the DB reader displays) the outside is silent and nothing is heard, but the ground vibrates quite hard around you and at one point the 10 inch bolts that hold the one driver door closed, blew out and almost smacked a guy

its amazing the amount of money that goes into an event like this if your planning to be a record holder and win big
