I did a slight overclock to 3GHz, by upping the FSB to 333. By doing so the FSB to DRAM ratio gets worst. RAM (533) is running faster then the CPU (333).

Upping the FSB to 400, which gives me 3.6GHz (400 x 9). The system posts, but windows won't load.

Also tried going for 1:1 FSB to DRAM ratio by running the FSB at 533 and multiplier at 6, which gives me 3.2GHz. System won't post.

At stock speed (2.4GHZ, 266 x 9), FSB to DRAM ratio is 1:2 (cpu at 266 and ram at 533).

Running the processor at 3GHz, I get a nice increase in 3DMark06 (9218 vs. 8750). Processor runs alittle hotter, but its not bad.

Stock settings (2.4GHz, 266x9)
----------------------------------------

Overclocked to 3GHz (333 x 9)
-------------------------------------

Intel thermal analysis tool, idle at 3GHz
------------------------------------------------

Both cores loaded to 100% at 3GHz
---------------------------------------------

XP Pro w/SP2. Windows classic style for windows and buttons. Classic start menu.

I don't care for XP style or start menu.

Yup.

I also tweak the services (disable whatever i don't need) and registry (get rid of stuff loading on startup and disable autoplay).

P.S. I got some other ideas for overclocking, but haven't tried it yet.

FSB @ 400 and multiplier at 8, which gives me 3.2GHz. Ram at DDR2-800, which results in a 1:1 FSB to DRAM ratio.

^ Its not. The FSB I'm referring to is the actual FSB/bus speed of the processor. Its quad pumped, so multiply it by 4.

So taking the quad pumping into account and the stock FSB which is 266, you get 1066.
