So my father and some of his friends decided to all meet up with their rotaries in front of the AutoZone some of them work at. 5 cars in all, 3 rx7s, 1 rx8, and an rx4. Here's some pictures I took and a little info on the cars.
My father's 2nd Gen Turbo II. Not as clean as the other cars in the show because we're still working on it...and we didnt have time the day before to clean the engine bay.
Engine completely rebuilt and ported.
turbo upgraded (dont ask me to what, I'm not sure)
Full Racing Beat Exhaust, ignition wires, and fuel cut-off remover
Blitz blow-off valve, Blitz turbo timer
A friend's 2nd gen N/A. Doesn't have many performance upgrades (yet). Does have a header on it, accenting that distinct rotary sound. This kid is actually 16, but look how clean he keeps his car. He's actually going to be helping with my Corolla project here in a little bit.
Oh, and check out that kid's dad's car. Black RX-8 that looks absolutely sick. Just..look at it.
One of our fellow Puerto Rican friends 1st Gen RX-7 is next. This thing can definitely run too. It was featured on the cover of an RX-7 parts magazine by Victoria British Ltd. (now
Black Dragon Automotive ).
And this last one is owned by another one of my fellow Puerto Ricans (we love us some rotaries apparently). It is an RX-4, and its ..in one word, badass. It turns heads along the road just by its sound. Oh, and he's known to leave 5.0s in the dust.
and a group picture
Go rotary power!
hopefully next year I can have pictures up of my rebuilt 3tc. I just pulled it into my mechanic friend's garage, and we should pull the motor next week. It'll be awhile til its finished though. Heck, I'm going to Norman for college here in a month and a half.
