Cool My LS430 projector project is underway!

There is a how-to on the progress strictly for the HL guys here http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t200668.html

That being said, not many people browse that section unless they own a HL. So I figured I'd share with the rest of the TN community in this section. I'll skip from posting the detailed body removal stuff and try to keep the meat of the pics here...

The subject. LS430 projector. These suckers deliver without a doubht the widest beam pattern you can get from a single xenon projector. Easily shoot a beam 7+ lanes wide.

My poor baby showing its teeth!

Started making my pilot holes. This hole is much larger now but its just the beginning of the process...

LS430 without its chrome shroud sitting in there for a test fit....

After trimming a good bit off the LS430 shroud, I was able to make it fit but just barely heh....

Still have to do my aiming and final mounting but here is the LS430 assembled with its stock chrome reflector and then the proejctor assembly sitting loosely inside my stock housing. Looks so OEM you'd swear Toyota made this as an option

Rear is going to look stock when I'm done with it too...

When its all said and done, this is what to expect from a LS430 projector. This car is a benz that a memmber from my lighting forum retroed in some LS430s....

Not much these days, got an 04 solara, and until i can get around to puting a new set of projectors in, i ground down the h11 projector bulb holder so i could get those extra 2mm i needed to sit the D2S bulb a little better. This seemed to be the same thing they did on the MDX projectors and so far it seems to be working pretty good, but no way close to those LS430 projectors.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Wow, you are everywhere man! Nice to see you here, and of course, you always have something that coincides with my cars.. As you know, my IS300 also has an LS430 retrofit. They are by far THE BEST projector you can get

Here is some pics of the passenger side about done!

I had to trim the living hell out of the LS430 bezel back and forth because it kept hitting the reflector but you can't tell too much.

What do you guys think?

lots of hidplanet guys on here I see

lightwerkz sold his scoob and now has a e46 m3. I think he still provides retros for scoobie people also.

Getting there with my LS retro now. Took my housing all apart (it sperates into 3 pieces bottom trim, turn signal, and rear cavity) and thoroughly cleaned it from all the dust and junk.....
